I have to say that I adore my 2002 SVT, but it is certainly outclassed by the Euro-only RS/ST models that Ford wouldn't give us.

I also like the current design, and Ford can keep using the Aston grill, just drop the chrome trim. That's lame.

I would vote for the Mk 2 ST on the 'Best Looking' poll, but I can't see it. Is it not there, or am I just blind?

I agree about the chrome. a simple black or even gunmetal grey grill would be fine; or hell, make it an option to have the grill whatever color you want!

Is your SVT a 5door or 3door?

3-door.

5-door wasn't an option until 2003.

Gotcha. I just realized I need your help/opinion with/on something.

So It turns out I CAN keep the summer tires and get another set of Winters/Steelies(My dad was actually being smarter than me haha). But he said I'd need to wait until mid-March to actually get and drive the car; the reasoning behind this being that there's still some Ice and Snow, on the roads, mostly neighborhoods. And by mid-March the car should be safer to drive.

Now I agree with that, but I want the car as soon as possible. I checked the weather from now until then and it's going to be in the mid-30s low-40s until at least the start of April. Would it make sense, to get the winter wheels/tires now and get the car sooner and drive with them for the next month or two until the weather warms up to 50? I understand that summer tires are much more efficient at higher temperatures rather than low temps and I cannot find the lowest operating temp. for the Goodyear Eagle F1s.

Anything below 50 F is generally bad for a summer tire. 40 F is pushing it.

If you have enough for the extra set of wheels/tires, then I'd get the car now. Just be careful when driving it. And certainly keep the TC on all the time.

If your Dad insists you wait, then I'd wait. Snow and ice are never fun to drive on, and winter tires really only help so much when you've got 260HP to play with.

Their only fun in abandoned parking lots for handbrake turns and J-turns :p

I don't plan to do any 0-60 times on the road any time soon, so I'd be driving rather slow, even under the limit if I have to. But your opinion does give me some idea of what I could expect if I go through with my idea.

Thanks!
